Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain the server-side components and back-end infrastructure for our online gambling platform.
- Build robust, scalable, and high-performance systems that can handle large volumes of traffic and transactions.
- Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate back-end services with user-facing applications.
- Implement security measures to ensure user data privacy and protection in compliance with industry regulations.
- Develop and manage RESTful APIs, ensuring efficient data communication between front-end and back-end systems.
- Work with databases (SQL/NoSQL) to design efficient data models and ensure high availability and performance.
- Integrate third-party services and payment gateways, ensuring seamless user transactions.
- Optimize application performance by identifying bottlenecks and implementing solutions to enhance speed and scalability.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code, following industry best practices.
- Conduct code reviews, mentor junior developers, and provide technical leadership to the team.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues and provide ongoing support for deployed systems.
- Stay up to date with the latest development trends, technologies, and best practices in the back-end space.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Back-End Developer with a strong understanding of server-side development and application architecture.
- Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, PHP, Ruby, or Node.js.
- Hands-on experience with relational (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and non-relational (MongoDB, Redis) databases.
- Experience in building and maintaining RESTful APIs and integrating third-party services.
- Strong understanding of cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Familiarity with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and server management.
- Knowledge of data security, encryption, and secure coding practices.
- Experience in optimizing applications for performance, scalability, and availability.
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues effectively.
- Experience with version control systems like Git.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in the iGaming or online gambling industry.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements related to online gambling, including KYC, AML, and data privacy laws (GDPR).
- Familiarity with real-time data processing, such as WebSockets or event-driven architectures.
- Experience with microservices architecture and API gateways.
- Understanding of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and automation tools.
